Why have Americans achieved so much and prospered as no other people before? It is because here, we have cradled and nourished the ideals of Liberty and Freedom. It is here, that the genius of the individual has been assured and encouraged to grow. It is here, that government has been restrained to provide you with more space to realize your potential. And it is here, that you can fulfill any dream, overcome any obstacle.

Government can, and must, provide opportunity and foster productivity. Those in power must support policies that promote a vigorous and growing economy while reversing the growth of a government which shows signs of having grown beyond the consent of the governed.

Anchorage is a city built on the backs of those who did not wait for opportunity but created it – a rustic individualism that built what needed building and expanded it to fit the dreams of those who envisioned the future.

I'm running for the Municipal Assembly because what Anchorage needs is a city government that reduces the tax structure which, currently, punishes improvement and promotes stagnation. Anchorage is a city where business should flourish and homeownership remains a reality. Our city doesn't need more revenue but individuals who will be good stewards of existing funds.

We live in a great city. It's a city that holds the hopes and dreams of individuals from across the world. Anchorage is a manifestation that what can be dreamt can be accomplished.
